is a central concept in Chinese diagnostics. Chinese diagnostics is built
on a complex process of 4 examinations:
- Inspection is the process where a doctor observe the patient
- Listening and Smelling
- Enquiring is the process in which a doctor interviews the patient
- Palpation is a form of diagnosis by feeling and touching
The effect of treatment is
directly connected to correctness of the diagnosis. Tongue diagnoses and
pulse examinations are the most important process of Chinese diagnostics.
It requires many years of training and experience. It reveals the inner
state of a human being.
